OPM AT ITS BEST
OPM AT ITS BEST took the Las Vegas music scene by storm with over 250 Fil-Ams and Filipinos in Southern Nevada singing and dancing to familiar Original Pilipino Music (OPM) at the +63FIFTY Fil-Am Central last Saturday, March 25, 2023. Presented by FilAmTV Network in partnership with Ms. Anna Ladao of HUMANA, Ms. Maryann Montemayor of PALM SOUTH JONES, and Ms. Cynthia Landeros of TRANS PACIFIC MULTI SERVICE.
OPM AT ITS BEST was strongly supported by top Filipino-American organizations in Southern Nevada, according to Bernie Benito, a renowned Fil-Am community leader in Vegas, who spearheaded the concert that benefited +63FIFTY Fil-Am Central, the first and only physical hub for Filipino-Americans in the State of Nevada.
Original Compositions and very famous covers were beautifully performed by ten of the top artists in Nevada, which included Angelica Villarta, Art Mendoza, Enrico Pobre, Esmeralda Padilla-Gould, Gloria Papin, Marlin Multo, Michael Laygo, Nelson Alcantara, Serenity Tolentino, and Zeke Tomas (in alphabetical order).
By purchasing a $25 ticket, each donor enjoyed the musical performance of his/her favorite artists, while also contributing to a good cause, not to mention savoring the food pack prepared by Cafe De Manila and Pampanga Specialty delicacies.
The proceeds from the event were used to secure over 15 tables, close to 200 chairs, and audio equipment for the +63FIFTY Fil-Am Central. The donated furniture and equipment will in turn help Fil-Am organizations save on items they would otherwise spend on renting these items for their events.
